My name is itungo sandrah 21. I do a bachelors degree in Medicine and surgery at Kabale university, Uganda, and this is my hearing heart story.
In April this year, I had the incredible opportunity to join Hearing Heart, as a volunteer. I was asked to talk to the youth in kabale secondary school, about “THE HERO’S JOURNEY”, the fourth chapter in “Hearing Heart AN AID TO CHARTING YOUR CAREER”, which is our guiding book. His chance forced me to read and appreciate the Hero’s Journey. I have learned where I am on this journey having just crossed the threshold from the natural world.
In just a short time, I have gained vital skills like interaction, critical thinking and self-awareness. Most importantly, I drawn closer to God, and deepened my relationship with him. Working with Hearing Heart has brought me wonderful experiences and opened my eyes to the impact that I can make.
I look forward to even greater results not only in my career life but also in the lives of those that we serve.
